TIFF steht für Tagged Image File Format. TIFF wurde mit der Intention, ein erweiterbares und plattformunabhängiges Format zu erstellen, erschaffen. Es soll vor allem eine Schnittstelle zwischen div. Ein- und Ausgabegeräten bieten.
